New Dodge Charger

 

Want an all American car inspired by a Coca Cola bottle? The new Dodge Charger SRT8 was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show this year. This stylish car is powered by the new 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8, improving the performance to 465 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, with an increased torque in the low end of the RPM range. A active valve exhaust system has been redesigned allowing the cylinder cutoff system to engage over a wider range. This results in improved gas mileage. The new active intake manifold and high-lift camshaft with cam phasing provides the increased low-end torque. The eight-speed automatic is great and the gas mileage is of up to 31 mpg, although the V8 engines are a bight thirsty.

 

Standard features include air conditioning and cruise control; power windows, locks and mirrors; a power driver seat; pushbutton start; and an AM/FM/CD player with a 4.3-inch touchscreen control. Options like a sunroof, Bluetooth, and leather upholstery are also offered along with more unusual offers like in-car wireless Internet, via a 3G data dongle; a navigation system and real-time traffic information; and voice control for audio and navigation. Appearance packages are also available and these add splashes of color to the Charger, while a Road & Track package tightens the suspension and adds 20-inch wheels.

 

 

The new features included in the new Dodge Charger are  the “all-new paddle-shift technology and a two-mode adaptive damping suspension, Charger SRT8® delivers intelligent performance, ride and handling, as well as interior and exterior styling.” From the pictures you will see that the car has a pleasing style and certainly promises a smooth performance.
