New Dodge Caliber

The new Dodge Caliber offers for his update a passenger five-door with a height greater than usual, off-road appearance and proportions almost minivan. The most important changes are the new engines, it offers more powerful diesel engine (163 hp) and the gasoline with 1706 hp that allows this model to increase his displacement with respect to the previous model.

About the gasoline engine, the new Caliber can also have two engines, one with 156 hp and 2.0 liters that replaces the previous 1.8 engine. The other more powerful is a 2.4 liters engine with 170 hp.

The new Dodge Caliber offer at Europe the diesel engine with 163 hp, 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters at the previous version. The gain of torque is not large: 320 Nm, 10 Nm only more. Despite its increased power and displacement, the average consumption approved has decreased: 5.8 l/100 km. This engine is produced by Mercedes-Benz.

 

 

The appearance of the interior of the new Dodge Caliber model was one of the things clearly be improved in this model. Plastics were rough to the touch, poor appearance and not always well tailored and finished. We can say that design of the Caliber has changed very much, now we find less angular shapes and it includes new materials, according to Dodge models, they are soft to the touch.

The new Dodge Caliber changes the font of the instrument panel, climate control knobs and there is an additional storage compartment, ahead of the shifter to deposit small items. There are also new audio equipment with Bluetooth mobile phones.
